Planning a week visit early Feb, with 7 yr old daughter and in a real quandry for where to stay. Your site very helpful, almost too much info. Looking at Moderate and CBR. Help?

    Michelle,

Caribbean Beach Resort is actually my family's favorite moderate.  It has a laid-back island atmosphere with tropical music playing and lots of sandy beaches with hammocks, playgrounds for the kids, and fun outdoor activities.  While you can't swim in the water there, you can still wade a bit and build sandcastles, and it does have an authentic 'beachy' feel.

A big bonus for planning a trip there now is that the main themed pool and all of the rooms have been recently remodeled!  The new pool is gorgeous and zero-entry, again mimicking that real beach feel.  There are fountains and a waterslide for kids, and a very cool new Pirate Ship water play area as well.

The rooms have been redecorated and refurnished in a Finding Nemo theme.  While I haven't seen them in person, the pictures look great and I look forward to getting a closer look.  Even more appealing to me are the new family suites they've added, which are in a sure-to-be-popular Pirates of the Caribbean theme.  Very fitting for this resort, and very fun.

    Good luck with your decision!
