I am planning my wedding and honeymoon for next year-we are taking my seven year old son and it will be our first vacation to DisneyWorld. We were trying to find when the best time is to go with smaller crowds and is the most affordable? thanks

    Katie,

There are a lot of times that are good. My favorite time of year is the September/October time frame, with an inclination towards the early- to mid-October time in that two month window. May is also very good, though a bit more crowded.

However, with a 7-year old, you may be running into some issues regarding his school year. If that is the case, I would say that of the choice between going during the year-end holidays versus the summer, definitely go during the summer for more affordable prices. The weeks from Christmas to New Years are the most expensive of the year. And in the range of a traditional school summer break (say June through August), I would say that the later in August you go, the better. Push off that vacation to as late as possible for smaller crowds.

I hope that this helps. Please feel free to write me with any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
