We are planning our WDW trip, and while we are there I wanted to get my youngest his first haircut at the barber shop on main street. Can I make an appt. or not? I have read conflicting answers. Please answer this once and for all-Thanks-Randy,New Orleans

Hi Randy! My daughter had her first haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop in the Magic Kingdom, and it was such a magical experience! The barber entertained her with lots of stickers, gave her a cute hairstyle, and even sprinkled a little pixie dust on her! She received a set of Mickey ears with "First Haircut" embroidered on the back, and a bit of her hair was packaged up for us along with some pixie dust.

Although appointments aren't required at the Harmony Barber Shop, you can make them by calling 407-WDW-DINE or 407-WDW-PLAY.  The Barber Shop just began accepting appointments about six months ago, so that's why you may have seen conflicting information on this topic. However, I'm happy to tell you that yes, you can now make appointments for haircuts in the Magic Kingdom. Because the Barber Shop is popular and lines can be long, I'd definitely recommend you make an appointment.

Hope your little one loves his first haircut! Come visit us again if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
