Planning a WDW trip and have never been before! I am trying to come up with a cost estimate and was wondering...aside from the the hotel/resort, theme park tickets and dining, what other expenses can we reasonably expect? (2 adults, 2 kids)

Hi, Deborah! Don't forget to add in your transportation costs to your list of expenses.  You'll want to get a handle on airfare prices versus driving expenses.  If you are staying off property, you will have to add daily parking fees or a hotel shuttle fee as well.

We have three children, and we always make sure to add in a little extra for souvenirs.  The girls have to use some of their own savings, but we budget a little for a t-shirt or hat for each kid - around $50.

When budgeting dining, go a little over so you'll be prepared to grab a cold drink or a Mickey ice cream bar.  The warmer it is, the more we tend to spend on bottled water or a cold piece of fruit.

The only other expenses I can think of would include any backstage tours or special experiences you might want to do, but on your very first trip, I would think you'll be busy soaking up all the magic and probably not interested in doing too much off the beaten path.  We'll talk about those when you are planning your NEXT trip!

Thanks for coming to see us, and if there's anything else you need, just let us know!
