M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!
HEY Rachel! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Get ready to be surrounded by the chEARs of some great athletes during your upcoming vacation! Dance and Cheer competitions typically take place from early December through May, so more likely than not, you will encounter a few competition groups, but there are plenty of Walt Disney World Resort options for you to have a peaceful stay.
Most of the competitions happen at
ESPN Wide World of Sports (if you have a chance to take a peek at the impressive facilities, do it!) and most of the athletes tend to stay in
Disney Value Resorts. The most popular Resorts tend to be Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, and Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a convention hotel, so it is often used for large groups also.
When you visit next February, I would suggest staying at either a Moderate Resort or a Deluxe Resort Hotel. Disney’s Port Orleans - Riverside is tranquil and has our family favorite - Nashville Hot Chicken at
Boatwright’s Dining Hall. After dinner, walk outside to the Riverside Levee Marina and take a leisurely horse-drawn carriage around the lush Resort property. For an extra-special stay,
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is the ultimate tropical oasis and a short Monorail ride from Magic Kingdom Park.
Rachel, I hope this helps you plan your accommodations for your upcoming trip. ChEARs to a fabulous vacation!
