I am going to be planning our 1st WDW trip & was looking at Easter 2013; towards the end of March/beg. of April. I will have an 8 year old & 11 year old. Are there Easter activities that they would enjoy and how is the weather and crowds that time

Welcome to the Mom's Panel, Amie!  Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World Vacation!  I find the planning of a Walt Disney World Vacation to be almost as much fun as the vacation itself.  Notice I said almost as much!  Your children are the perfect ages to enjoy all the magic of Disney!  The weather is usually very comfortable in late March and early April.  The average highs at this time of year are typically in the mid to upper 70's and low's in the mid 50's.  As a Georgia native, I will say that temperatures can fluctuate at this time of year with an occasional late cold front that can come through the area.  I would definitely recommend checking the forecast a few days prior to your vacation so that you know better how to pack. You will see greater crowd levels in late March and early April due to Spring Break Holidays.  The unofficial website allears.net lists this time of year as "Highest Attendance" in their Historic Attendance Levels Chart. Disney does not traditionally announce Easter activities until a few weeks prior to the Holiday. In the past, Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny have been available at Magic Kingdom for a meet-and-greet and photo opportunities, Easter Egg Hunts have been available at many of the Disney Resorts, and Easter Services have been held on Easter Day at one of the Disney Resorts.  I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any additional questions that I can assist you with. Best wishes for a Magical 2013 Trip, Amie!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
