Planning a WDW with cruise vacation for April 2016. If I put deposits on cruise and hotel rooms and need to cancel, are the deposits refundable? I'm nervous about reserving so far in advance just in case something comes up.

    Ahoy, Erica!

When thinking about a trip that includes both Walt Disney World and a Disney Cruise, I highly recommend that you plan the WDW portion first, followed by a relaxing time on a Disney Cruise Line ship.

A Disney Cruise Line vacation requires you to budget for a deposit of 10% of your total cruise fare. Your final payment is not due until approximately 90 days before your cruise for most sailings. You have up until that date to cancel or move your reservation. You would not be able to book any Port Adventures or onboard fun until the cruise is fully paid off.

A Walt Disney World vacation is required to be paid in full 45 days prior to arrival. So, you would have up until then to cancel your trip (which I hope you won't have to do!).

So, my advice is to go ahead and start planning your amazing land and sea vacations! Please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions as your trip gets closer.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
