I am planning on going to Walt Disney World from November 3-November 8, 2012. Does this fall during Jersey week and can you tell me will it be too crowded as compared to mid-October? When would be best to go in November?

    Hi Kim!

Congrats on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. "Jersey Week," which is the week that "New Jersey Educational Association" public schools hold their annual convention. Many believe that this week results in an increase in the crowds at Walt Disney World due to families from the Jersey area heading down to WDW for vacation during that long weekend. The dates for the convention in 2012 are November 8 and 9, therefore your last day will overlap with the first day of the convention. "Jersey Week" is considered to be November 8-13. However, don't worry about this because "Jersey Week" doesn't impact the crowds at WDW significantly.

I subscribe to touringplans dot com to have access to their highly scientific and researched "crowd calculators." I always recommend that guests pay for this subscription because it is well worth the small fee.

The crowds will be lighter in mid-October than in November, but both are great times to visit. If you visit in November, the dates you chose are perfect! The beginning of November is a great time of year to visit because you avoid the Thanksgiving and Christmas crowds.

    Magically,
    Stacy
