We are planning on going to Walt Disney World for Halloween. We have heard different thoughts on Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party and was wondering your opinion? Is it worth the additional costs and what special things are going on?

Mark, my daughter and I attended Mickey's Not So Scary Hallowe'en Party this past September and absolutely loved it. I would definitely go again, and highly recommend it - it was the highlight of our trip. It does require the purchase of a separate ticket though, so for some the added cost might not be worth it.

Should you decide to go, you may choose to dress up in costume, which park goers and the characters, do! The party we attended started at 7pm, but we were able to enter the park at 4 pm, which we did. Party goers were given a special bracelet, and everyone not wearing a bracelet was ushered out of the park at 7 pm. We were given a map of the special events and a trick or treating bag.

There are two fantastic Hallowe'en-themed parades, and an incredible fireworks display. Trick or treating spots are located throughout the park, as are character photo op locations, with many special characters we don't normally get to see.  There are also dance parties throughout the night, lead by characters like Stitch and Goofy.

The night we were there wasn't too crowded, and we walked on every ride. The park is decorated for Hallowe'en, making it a spooktacular night!
