We are planning on being at Walt Disney World in early June. We would like to do the wagon ride at Fort Wilderness. How early do we need to be there on a Thursday to make the ride? Can we reserve a spot in the morning for that evening?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Betty! I’m happy to see that you are thinking about spending some time at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. It’s my family’s favorite place to stay when we visit the most magical place on earth!

You and your crew can enjoy a 25- minute long Wagon Ride at the beautiful outdoor resort seven days a week. If you are planning to take the ride Monday-Thursday, walk-up reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The rides depart daily at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. I would arrive about an hour ahead of time to reserve your spot.

If you would like to reserve a ride ahead of time for Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you can absolutely do so by calling (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529.

Betty, once you’re done with your ride, you can stay for Chip ‘N’ Dale’s campfire sing-a-long! Snap a few pictures with them before roasting some marshmallows and stay for a rootin’ tootin’ good time! My girls had such a blast when they did the hokey pokey with them. Chip has some pretty good dance moves! Just check with a Cast Member for more information about the recreation schedule, to find out what time the sing-a-long will be happening.

I hope this information is helpful! If you have any additional questions, you know where to find us! Have a magical visit!
