Hi Karen!
You and your daughter are going to have so much fun at
Walt Disney World! You will be happy to hear that there are a plethora of gluten-free options at many of the Walt Disney World restaurants in the
parks, resorts, and
Disney Springs. When you arrive at the restaurant, make sure you inform the server that your daughter is gluten-free. You will be provided with a gluten-free menu, which usually has a great variety. You can even ask to speak with the chef if you have questions or would like more information about the food preparation. Usually, you will not need to make previous arrangements to inform the restaurant that you have a
special dietary request.
At
EPCOT, I personally love
Coral Reef because they have a wide array of gluten-free options. The shrimp cocktail, shrimp and grits, and the slow-roasted grilled rib-eye are just a few of my favorite gluten-free meals there. If you don't like seafood, another great option is
La Hacienda de San Angel. The Pollo al Pastor and Carne Asada are two wonderful gluten-free meals.
PizzeRizzo at
Disney's Hollywood Studios has excellent
gluten-free pizzas. You can choose between gluten-free pepperoni, vegetable, and cheese pizzas.
Anaheim Produce has a great selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, and gluten-free snacks.
The Hollywood Brown Derby is also a great choice! I love their
Filet Mignon.
If you are looking for a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, I recommend
Disney's Beach Club or
Yacht Club Resort Hotels. They are both located at Disney's Boardwalk, which is a short walk away from both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios!
Magically,
Stacy
