We are planning on visiting WDW in Sept. 2018 and are staying at the Polynesian. We have a few character dinning booked. Would you happen to know how long these reservations take? We want to plan our day accordingly.

    Dear Hector,

I'm so glad that you stopped by to say "Hiya Pal!" to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your wondEARful question about planning ahead for your Advanced Dining Reservations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

The time that you will need to arrive to your Advanced Dining Reservations, eat, and then arrive to your next destination can vary a great deal based on where you are staying, how you are traveling to your reservation, and then where you are planning to go that day. If, for example, since you mentioned that you are staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and you have a breakfast reservation for 'Ohana, that would be a quick walk to your breakfast. I would allow for at least 60-90 minutes for a character buffet breakfast, and perhaps a bit longer for a breakfast that is not a buffet. Then I would also allow for at least another 60-90 minutes for travel time if your reservation is elsewhere.

If you would like to visit us again and give us some more specifics about where your Advanced Dining Reservation is as compared to where you are staying, and also where you are planning to go afterward, then we can assist you with more specific timing.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
