Hi Daniel,
Welcome to planDisney!
We are delighted to see that you are planning a visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort! As long as you are purchasing those
theme park tickets separately and not trying to book a
vacation package, your plan should work. I actually think your strategy is a good plan, one that should make the trip a little more budget-friendly but also give you that great experience on park hopping for at least one of the days.
As you continue to plan, I suggest that you check the
park hours for the days of your visit, especially to maximize your time in the parks when park hopping. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, keep in mind that you will have
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests. If you are planning to stay at a deluxe, deluxe villa Disney Resort hotel, or other select hotel, you will also have access to
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. So, ideally, you could visit a theme park using the Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Guests and then park hop to a theme park with Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. Given your dates, there may not be any extended evening theme park hours, but I definitely suggest that you check!
As you continue to make those plans, also consider other activities that you may want to do at the resort hotel or Disney Springs. Take a look at the
Enchanting Extras Collection and book an experience if you find one that looks interesting. My family loves to do at least one additional experience during our visits. One year we did a
Capture Your Moment Photo Session: Magic Kingdom. The session was short but so much fun!
Daniel, sending a little extra pixie dust as you purchase those theme park tickets! Keep doing your research and drop back by if you have other questions!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
