Hi Paul,
Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you are in the lead for family member of the year! The
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort is my family's favorite time of year to visit. The parks and resorts are absolutely stunning. In years past, we have been able to see the holiday decorations up through January 1st and, sometimes, a few days beyond that.
Given that you say that the entire family is coming to visit and your are visiting at a busy time of year, I would definitely consider a few time saving strategies. Use
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering. When we are on the go, trying to get from one experience to another, we will often stop to do mobile food & beverage ordering, pick up the food, and then stop to take a quick break while eating. During the holidays season, I also prefer to have several
advanced dining reservations. It helps to have those dining reservations so that we are not waiting forever to eat and we get to dine at our favorite restaurants!
Paul, if you have not yet booked a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or a
vacation package, I strongly suggest that you do so as soon as possible since the time of year you plan to visit is quite popular. If you plan to stay through New Year's Eve, be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more information. Also keep an eye on the
Special Offers to see if any new offers are released that could be applicable to the dates of your visit. In the meantime, I am sending a wish to the Evening Star hoping that your trip brings all of the magic your heart desires!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
