We are planning on visiting WDW at Christmas from the 18th through the 23rd of 2008. Is this a busy time to go? I know it has been said that Christmas time is busy but is this early enough? How is the weather at that time of the year? Is it rainy?

I'm sorry to tell you the Christmas crowds will be in full force during the time of your visit. As soon as the schools let out, people will start flocking to WDW. Most districts in New York (a big WDW feeder area) as well as all over the country, will be starting their break on December 19. From then until the Monday after New Years Day, the parks will be packed non-stop.

On the plus side, the weather will likely be fine during the time of your visit. Average daytime temperatures are in the low to mid 70s and rainfall averages at a yearly low in December. And although there will be crowds, there will also be wonderful Christmas activities and decorations to enjoy. With careful planning, and plenty of advance dining reservations, you can have a great trip.
