We are planning on visiting the Magical Kingdom mid December, first time for my little girls. My oldest who is 3 has a severe treenut allergy. Does anyone know if this can be accomodated, or will we need to bring our own food?

Hi Theresa! How exciting to be planning your little girls' first trip to Walt Disney World! Disney works very hard to accommodate guests with allergies. The chefs in the table-service restaurants can prepare a meal for your daughter free of nuts, and each park has quick-service locations that carry nut-free products.  Click HERE to see a list of those locations, as well as additional information on special diets at Disney.

When you make your dining reservations, make sure you have the castmember note your daughter's allergies on the reservation. Also, I recommend that you contact the Special Diets department at Disney at least two weeks before your trip. You can reach them at 407-824-5967 or by emailing SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com. This department will send you a form to complete about your daughter's allergy and the restaurants in which you plan to dine. They will then make sure that each table-service restaurant has the information about her allergy. When you arrive at each restaurant, you may also ask to speak with a chef who can tell you which items on the menu or buffet meet your daughter's dietary requirements.

Hope you have a wonderful time! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
