Hello, I am planning to visit WDW in October 2013. There are 2 couples a 3 yr old boy and a 14 yr old boy. The 14 yr old has been to Disney several times. I am wondering if there are any programs for a 14 yr old? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

    Hi Dee!

Traveling to Walt Disney World with a teenager can prove to be both exciting and challenging, especially with a teen who has visited several times. Thankfully, Disney does offer some activities for youth in mind, to introduce a new perspective of the Disney parks.

Disney's Youth Education Series is a great way for teenagers and adults to explore some of the hidden magic of Disney parks. "Students" can go behind the scenes to discover all about imagineering or the technology used to create some of the most popular attractions. There are programs about conservation and physics as well as a great programs about careers in business and marine sciences, to name a few. The "classes" take place within the Disney parks and are lead by cast members with extensive knowledge of the subject matter. My son enjoyed the Leadership series, which prepared and motivated him up for a role in student government here at his high school. Cost for the program varies by class, but a great perk is that students and parent can purchase theme park tickets at a reduced price.

More information on the Disney YES program can be found at www.disneyyouth.com.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
