    we're planning to visit WDW in 3/09 for 6 days, have park hopper tickets we wish to make the best of our time there, have 10yrson and 21/2 yr daughter, need ideas on organizing our visit. Thank you

    Amudha,

    Here is what I like to do to prepare. I do it in an excel spreadsheet, but you can just write it out in a notebook if it helps. I get the family together and write down the top 5-10 things that each person wants to do. What we call the "Must Do!" list. Then I map out for each day the following items of where we are going for;

    • Breakfast
    • Morning Park
    • Lunch
    • Afternoon activity
    • Dinner
    • Evening entertainment

    First I fill in all the non-meal items for each day (morning park, afternoon activities, etc). I pick the parks so that we have enough time to hit as many of the items on that "Must Do!" list. Then I look to where I want to dine for each meal. I base my decisions more on where I am before I choose the type (table service/counter service) and cuisine of the meal.

    So that is my recommendation on my bigger picture planning. If you want me to go into more detail on further planning for you, feel free to send me a follow-up question from my bio page.
