Planning to visit WDW 11/3/12-11/9/12 (aka Jersey Week) I've read numerous reviews (positive & negative)...how bad is it? This is our 2nd visit, 1st during Christmas, we are seeking LOW crowds. Should we pick new dates?

Hi, Diana!  Here's the skinny on Jersey week from a real Jersey girl -

Many public schools in NJ have off that week for election day (Tuesday), then the New Jersey Education Association convention (Thursday and Friday).  Some schools take the whole week off, others just those days, but for New Jersey families looking for an off season time to enjoy Walt Disney World, it's a great time to go and not miss too much school.

The influx of Jersey guests, however, won't even come close to the crowds you see at Christmas time.  Not all NJ schools have those days off (most private and parochial schools do not), not all the adults want to use their own vacation time with the holidays so close, and I know a lot of people who use the week to officially close their summer places at the Jersey shore for the winter that week.

So, you might run into more people named Vinnie or Tony, who all know what a hoagie is, and they might talk a little funny (I still say it's the rest of the country that has an accent, not us!), but I think you'll find the crowds much lighter than what you saw during the holidays.

    Have a great vacation!
