I am planning a visit for my two kids who are 12 and 11. 1 adult and 2 kdis. I am curious if I can do the Rider Switch and have one child wait while the other child and I ride the ride and then switch. Any cost to the program?

    Hi there Kelly,

Thank you for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I hope you are having a practically perfect day.

I’m glad to hEAR you have an upcoming vacation planned to The Happiest Place on Earth - it’s where magical memories happen every day! We have little Mouseketeers in our family and have utilized Rider Switch many times when our kids were not tall enough to ride or not ready to ride an attraction. My husband and I would “switch” waiting with our little one so the other could ride.

Rider Switch is for Guests with Children that don’t meet the height requirement or do not wish to ride the attraction, one Adult waits with the non-rider Child while the first rides, then they “switch” so the second Adult can then enjoy the attraction. There is no cost for the Rider Switch program. Whenever my family utilized this service, we would all be present when asking the Cast Member for the Rider Switch Pass.

Based on the information you provided, it doesn’t sound like the Rider Switch program would pertain to your party since all Guests are wishing to ride.

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please visit us here and let us know how we can help you plan your magical vacation.

Wishing you a magical adventure at The Happiest Place on Earth!
