Hi, Scarlett! Welcome to planDisney.
Disney Resort hotels are enchanting places to explore, shop, and dine. Even if you're not staying at one of these hotels, you're more than welcome to visit. The easiest way to explore the resorts is by taking advantage of Disney’s complimentary transportation, which includes buses, the monorail, Disney Skyliner, and water taxis. Your best bet is to park at
Disney Springs—perhaps enjoy a delicious breakfast or a sweet treat to fuel your adventure—then hop on a bus to the resort of your choice. It’s a delightful way to experience the magic beyond the parks!
Here are a couple of important notes to keep in mind: Swimming at Disney Resorts is exclusively reserved for Guests staying at that specific hotel, so there’s no need to pack your swimsuit. Additionally, Disney transportation does not offer direct bus service between hotels.
Here's an idea for an adventure: Take a bus from Disney Springs to Disney's Contemporary Resort. You can then hop on the monorail to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, enjoy a DOLE Whip from
Pineapple Lanai, and then hop back on the monorail to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Enjoy a much-deserved cocktail from
Enchanted Rose Lounge before taking a water taxi from the Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom Park. You can then hop on another water taxi to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and visit the beautiful horses at
Tri-Circle-D Ranch. You can then take a bus back to Disney's Springs for dinner. I suggest making a reservation at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' and ordering the Thigh High Chicken Biscuits. That sounds like a practically perfect day to me!
I hope that's helpful, Scarlett. Thanks for asking such a great question and for stopping by planDisney. See ya real soon!
Mike
