Hi Moms. We are planning to visit in November. Since the parks close earlier than during the summer we were considering having dinner in other hotels. My question is how can we travel between hotels using disney transportation once the parks are closed?

    Hi Samantha,

I LOVE dining at the restaurants at the many Disney resorts. You have a great plan on your hands.

You can always use Downtown Disney as a transfer point to get between hotels. The buses there run until at least midnight. For example to get from the Animal Kingdom Lodge to Port Orleans Riverside, you could take the bus from the AKL to Downtown Disney and transfer from there to a bus to POR.

However, I will warn you that any bus trip requiring a transfer can be time consuming. Generally when I'm in a situation like yours, I'll take a cab. There are taxis readily available at most Disney hotels, or the bell services desk can call one for you. Depending on where you're going, you could easily save half an hour or more of travel time. Most taxi rides within Walt Disney World cost in the neighborhood of about $15. If you do this only a few times during your stay, you won't spend much, but you will have a more relaxing trip.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
