Hello Andrea!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort in the fall and
especially love seeing the parks decked out in seasonal decor. You're sure to have a delightfully spooky visit next year!
Park hours are usually released about 60 days in advance. They are subject to change, but in my experience, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park typically closes earliest while Magic Kingdom Park often allows guests to enjoy the magic later into the evening. The exception is during specially ticketed
Disney After Hours events and holiday parties like
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This event is scheduled on select evenings at
Magic Kingdom Park, usually between August and November 1st. I've attended this frightfully fun event for the past two years and would love to return again this fall. The 2024 party dates have not yet been announced, but I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as details will be shared there once available.
On evenings when this party is scheduled guests with a daytime ticket will be escorted from the parks as the event kicks off. In the past, the event ran from 7 p.m. to midnight with entry available beginning at 6 p.m. You can choose to visit the parks during normal daytime hours, purchase a ticket just for the event, or both! I personally like to sleep in the day of a late night event to ensure I'm still awake when the clock ticks toward the witching hour.
If this party doesn't sound like your cup of witches' brew you'll still have plenty of fun before its time to make an early departure. In fact, my husband and I visited on a party day last fall and found the crowd levels and wait times to be very low. We enjoyed all our favorite attractions and a Table-Service meal before exiting the park around 3 p.m. It was a perfectly magical, unrushed day!
I hope this helps you plan your own special fall adventure. If we can answer any additional questions as you finalize your plans please come back and let us know. We're always glad to help!
Magic and memories!
Amy
