We are planning a visit to DisneyWorld around New Year's Eve this year. My wife is 6 months pregnant at that time, so it would be very hard to be in a park from morning at New Year's Eve. Is there an solution for this? Because Prks close when full.

Hi Miel and welcome to planDisney! I can’t think of a more magical place to ring in the New Year than the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks for sending us your planning question!

I totally understand where you are coming from. I visited the theme parks when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter. Since it is the busiest time of year for the Resort, there isn’t really a way around the park being at capacity, but I do have some recommendations that may help.

If you get to the Magic Kingdom Park a little later in the morning, it may help. You will still be able to enter, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be when the park opens. I always find a whole day at a park tough, unless I’m excited about a dining reservation!

Miel, did you know that you can start making dining reservations 60 days ahead of your visit? I recommend making a reservation for lunch or dinner. Or maybe even both! I would think each meal would take at least an hour or an hour and a half. Both of you would be off your feet and you’d get to enjoy a delicious meal!

When it comes to exploring the park, there are so many great attractions that you and your wife can enjoy together. Take a look at this list of attractions for guests of all ages. These attractions are a bit slower and more mellow, so they are safe for pregnant women to enjoy.

I hope I’ve given you a few ideas for New Year’s Eve at the Magic Kingdom Park. Please don’t hesitate to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions. It’s always our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next magical visit!
