I am planning to visit DisneyLand in September of this year and was hoping I could buy a replacement chassis for the LightSaber I built on my last trip that has stopped working. Can I buy just that part of the lightsaber in the park while I'm there?

    Hiya Joel!

Welcome back! I'm so sorry that your lightsaber is malfunctioning, that's not a magical feeling. I have a couple of suggestions for you, though!

Rather than wait until your next star voyage, let's see if we can fix your lightsaber sooner! First, my brilliant Jedi friend Michelle has some great troubleshooting tips for lightsabers. I would try her suggestions and see if your elegant weapon sparks to life.

If your lightsaber still isn't working I would suggest placing a transmission (or phone call, if that's easier) to the planet Batuu. If you visit the webpage for Savi's Workshop and scroll to the bottom you'll see a spot labeled "Additional Questions" and the phone number to contact the Gatherers. Perhaps they have some Jawas that can help you locate spare parts! You can also try contacting Merchandise Guest Services for additional help.

It looks like your visit to the parks will be after Season of the Force has ended, but I do have some good news for you: lots of the amazing Star Wars merchandise is available on the Disney Store website! I am particularly excited about this little BD-1 unit that was recently released, it reminds me so much of the little droids that are roaming the park right now. The Force is strongly telling me to put that spunky droid in my cart...

I would hate for a Jedi to be without their weapon, Joel! I mean, we wouldn't want to have to resort to clumsy blasters. I hope you'll be able to send a transmission and get your weapon repaired quickly.

    Keep moving forward!
