Hi Simon, and welcome to planDisney! The holiday season is my favorite time to visit Disneyland because the festive decorations make everything extra magical. The next
Festival of the Holidays actually runs from November 14, 2025 through January 7, 2026, so you’ll be able to enjoy the seasonal fun on either of the two days you’re looking at visiting!
Based on past years, I think your best chance for riding all three attractions is to visit as early in January as you can. According to the Disneyland website,
“it’s a small world” Holiday and
Haunted Mansion Holiday will be open through January 7, 2026 with their seasonal overlays. So you should be good for those two rides!
Now, let's talk about
Grizzly River Run. It’s hard to predict the exact dates an attraction will be under refurbishment, but in recent years it usually closes sometime in early January. These dates can vary a lot, and it’s possible that the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, which runs from May 16, 2025 through summer 2026, could impact attraction closure dates making it even harder to predict anything for next year. But my fingers are crossed for you!
Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog because they’ll announce details on the
Holiday Season festivities, including a foodie guide, later in the year. For a preview of what might be happening while you’re there, you can take a look at
last year’s Holiday Season guide. Some of my past must-dos were watching
World of Color - Season of Light, seeing Jack Skellington takeover Haunted Mansion in Haunted Mansion Holiday, and smelling the incredible
gingerbread house at the
Grand Californian Hotel lobby (you can usually pick up a yummy Gingerbread Mickey there too!).
I’m wishing on a star that you’ll get to ride “it’s a small world” Holiday, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and Grizzly River Run when you’re at Disneyland! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
