We are planning to visit from 12/28/24 - 1/4/25 and have 2 children that have medical conditions that would require a disability pass. How and when am I able to contact someone to get this process started.

    Hi Cheryl,

Disney World is truly dedicated to creating a magical experience for guests of all abilities, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the enchantment to its fullest! To help you plan, I recommend exploring their comprehensive website and the Accessibility Planning Guide, which outlines the many services available to meet your needs.

One of these services is the Disability Access Service (DAS), designed for guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in traditional queues for extended periods. This includes individuals with developmental disabilities, such as autism. To determine eligibility, you’ll need to participate in a live video chat with a Disney Cast Member before your visit. Here's how to get started:

    - Visit the DAS registration page up to 30 days before your arrival.
    - Log into the My Disney Experience account of the individual managing the DAS request.
    - Click on “Request Live Video Chat” to begin.
    - During the video chat, a Cast Member will review eligibility and take a photo of the guest who will use DAS. If you're registering on behalf of someone else, such as a child or family member, ensure they are present for the call to avoid any delays.

If you are planning a magical gathering of loved ones, remember that DAS only accommodates up to 4 people at a time, including the DAS-registered guest. This guest must be present at each ride check-in before the rest of the party can join. Return times for DAS attractions can be conveniently reserved through the My Disney Experience app, and if you’re new to the service, the friendly Cast Members will guide you through the process during your chat. Guests can reserve one DAS return time at a time, with a 10-minute wait required after using one before booking another.

Here’s a little extra pixie dust: DAS can be combined with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass to create a seamless experience for your entire group! For larger parties, consider aligning DAS return times with your Lightning Lane selections so everyone can enter together and share the fun as one big Disney crew.

With these thoughtful accommodations, your family is sure to enjoy a smooth and magical journey through the parks. Here’s to creating unforgettable moments together!

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
