We are planning to visit the Blue Bayou for the first time. We have a 12 year old that would prefer to order from the kids menu. I read somewhere that she could order, but she would be brought a larger portion size for double the price. Is this true?

    Hello Kristine,

Thank you for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'll thrilled to infinity and beyond that you have an upcoming trip to The Happiest Place on Earth! You are going to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Having a meal at Blue Bayou Restaurant is a must-do for our family during our visits to the Disneyland Resort. The kids love that they get to dine inside one of their favorite attractions, the Pirates of the Caribbean, and we all absolutely love the delicious fare. Your 12 year old daughter may order a meal the Child Menu. Younger Guests, like your daughter, will not be charged Adult prices for Child Menu items, however, it will be a Child-sized proportion. For ordering with kids, it all depends on the appetite. You will want to make reservations because this is Disneyland Park's most popular restaurant.

I hope this helps and that you enjoy the magic of Disney. If you have any more questions, please write me back, I'd love to help you plan your pixie dusted vacation.

    Happy Disney Dining!
