I am planning to visit Beach Club this June with my 4 and 6 yr old and was wondering if there is a height requirement for the slide at the pool? My 4 yr old is still learning to swim, does the resort provide floatation devices? Thanks for your help!

Hi Michelle! Your kids are going to love Stormalong Bay at Disney's Beach Club Resort! The Stormalong Bay pool has two waterslides -- a mini one at the kiddie pool and the 230-foot-long shipwreck slide. There's no height requirement for the big slide, but the entrance is quite a long walk from the area of the pool where sliders emerge, so you wouldn't want to send your youngest child alone to get on the slide. When my kids were little, my husband would usually walk them to the slide and then slide down first so he could meet them when they splashed into the pool. (The slide is so long that you can't walk from the entrance to the exit quickly enough to meet your kids at the end of the slide.)

Life vests are available for use in Stormalong Bay free of charge -- just pick one up near the poolside shop, which also sells pool noodles and rents other floats.

Thanks for visiting me at the Moms Panel, Michelle! Please don't hesitate to ask me if you have more questions! I'm happy to help!
