Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    We are planning to visit in April of 2009, and would really like our 6 yr. old daughter to have very different character dining experiences. CRT is a must, what would you recommend for the others?

    Cinderella's Royal Table is a must for any princess-loving 6 year old. If you're looking for a variety of character experiences and dine at CRT, then I would eliminate the Princess Storybook meals and 1900 Park Fare because those are both princess intensive.

    Chef Mickey's is the classic character dining experience. This features Mickey, Minnie, and their pals and is a great way to meet the traditional Disney stars. If you dine here, this would probably eliminate the Cape May Cafe breakfast because it features many of the same characters.

    Another choice for variety would be the Ohana breakfast at the Polynesian. Lilo and Stitch are here, and it is the only character meal that includes them.

    The other meals that would give you some variety are:

    - Play and Dine at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If your daughter is a Playhouse Disney fan, this is a great experience with lots of interactivity and singing and dancing. Characters from Little Einsteins and JoJos Circus are on hand. I would caution you against this one if your daughter does not watch Playhouse Disney as many of the songs and dances will be unfamiliar.

    - Crystal Palace. Perfect if you love Winnie the Pooh.

    - Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom. Several of the characters here are at Chef Mickey's, but this is Daisy Duck's only character meal appearance. The buffet line includes American favorites as well as some unique African dishes, making it a bit more interesting for the adults in your group.
