Ahoy, Marcia! I heard you have a few scallywags in your family who are thinking about a pirate-themed at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. This resort has so many great things going for it, and I know you'll love staying there.
The Caribbean Beach Resort sits on 200 acres surrounding a lake called Barefoot Bay, and it is comprised of five villages: Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad, and Aruba. The pirate rooms are all located in Trinidad and come with two double beds resembling pirate ships, wood plank patterned carpet, and a Jolly Roger bathroom curtain warning all ye who dare enter. To answer your question, there are no regular Guests rooms in this village. When calling to make your resort reservation, I'd request to be in the village closest to Trinidad, which would be Barbados (and ask to be in building 33).
By the time your visit rolls around in November, the
Disney Skyliner will be up and running! This gondola system will connect several resort hotels, including Caribbean Beach Resort to Disney's Hollywood Studios and International Gateway at Epcot (perfect for getting to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge).
When the grandkids are ready for some downtime, take them to the Fuentes del Morro Pool themed to look like a colonial Spanish Fortress with spraying cannons. Meanwhile, the adults will enjoy the Banana Cabana pool bar, which was newly renovated. Also new to the resort is
Sebastian's Bistro, which is open for dinner. My Moms Panel friend, Amy, highly recommends the Caribbean Pull-apart Rolls served with Guava butter.
I hope you and your mateys have a swashbuckling time this fall, Marcia!
