Hi, we are planning to view the fireworks in new year´s eve at the beach in the polynesian. At what time should we be there?. We are planning to visit down town disney area before heading to the beach. Is it close? THANKS!

Hi, Michelle!  While the actual distance isn't terribly far, I always allow an hour for transportation.  You'll probably want to arrive at the Polynesian by about 11:30, so you can walk over to the beach and find your perfect spot.

Remember that you are likely to encounter pretty significant crowds at this time of year.  You may have to wait for a bus a little bit longer than you might at other times.  With your hour transportation time, you may want to add another half hour to wait for a bus from Downtown Disney.  You could also take a taxi, which are pretty easy to find at Downtown Disney.  It's less than a $20 cab ride.

Enjoy a magical New Year's Eve!
