Ahoy, Sharon and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
How exciting to hEAR you are already thinking about plans for a Disney vacation in 2018! I love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort AND setting sail aboard Disney Cruise Line so I understand your travel dilemma. Have you thought about combining the two for a
land and sea adventure? You could spend a few days soaking in the magic of the Disney Parks before casting off with Captain Mickey!
I've enjoyed adult-only vacations to the Walt Disney World Resort in the past and love strolling through the parks, riding my favorite attractions and indulging in all the amazing dining offerings on property. I suggest a few days to mix in some resort time and a visit to Disney Springs as well. When you are ready to venture over to Port Canaveral, Disney Cruise Line does offer transportation to the terminal from all the resorts on property. If you decide to take advantage of this convenient service, you will need to budget about $70 per person for roundtrip transfers (pricing always subject to change).
Two of my Disney Cruise Line voyages have been adult-only, and I loved experiencing
all there is to do onboard for the over 18 group. You really can stay pretty busy with first-run movies, adult dining, spa treatments, lounging by the Quiet Cove Pool, Bingo, beverage seminars and the fabulous shows in the Walt Disney Theatre. And that is just onboard! Adult-only Port Adventures are offered too. I noticed you mentioned a vacation around the end of 2018, which would mean ringing in the new year at sea. How magical would that be? A special New Year's Eve Celebration and fireworks to make your holiday one of the most memorable.
I hope I've helped steer you in the right direction! Good luck with your decision!
Nancy
