    I am planning a vacation over Thanksgiving 2010. We are probably doing 4 nights. I am torn between between 2 resorts. Can I do 2 nights at the first and then have my belongings delivered for 2 nights at another resort?

    I think everyone on this Panel, including me, has switched resorts during a WDW vacation. There are many reasons people do this: to save money by spending part of the trip at a less expensive hotel, lack of availability at a favorite hotel, or as you're suggesting, to get the best of two styles of resort. Changing hotels in mid-trip is not at all uncommon. And yes, Disney will transfer your bags from your first resort to your second at no charge.

    I personally am not a big fan of the mid-trip switch, mostly because of the extra work it involves for me as THE MOM. Hubby does many great things for the family, but packing and organizing the trip essentials for three kids is not one of them. Each time we move hotels it's several hours of work for me on both ends to re-pack and unpack all the favorite blankets, barrettes, coloring books, pin collections, must-keep-forever Mickey stickers, swim goggles, Chip & Dale pretzels, and lots and lots of little girl clothing. Inevitably something that's mission-critical gets lost or the clean socks get mixed up with the dirty socks and it's all my fault :-)  When I'm on vacation, I want to be as on vacation as possible, and extra schlepping does not help me with this. (Also takes away from fun park time.) One other thing to consider is whether you'll be purchasing a vacation package. If you are, then sometimes when there is a hotel switch, you'll have to work with two different sets of dining plans or other benefits, which could be complicated. You'll want to discuss the specifics of your plan with Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY.

    That being said, there are many people who love bopping from resort to resort. It could be great fun to compare and contrast different resort styles. If you're less neurotic that I am -- and really, who isn't :-) -- then I say go for it with the switch.
