Hey Maureen!
Wow! This is a really hard question. I LOVE both of these resort, especially for kids!
If your children are animal lovers than Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is the one for them. With their savannah view rooms, the Animal Kingdom Lodge has the unique experience of waking up with giraffes, zebra and ostriches walking by. You can also immerse yourself in the African culture with nightly musical performances, fantastic cuisine and, of course, the savannah animals. Another advantage of the Animal Kingdom is
Boma - Flavors of Africa. This is one of my family's favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. Don't worry if you have picky eaters. My daughter is a 'less-than-adventurous' eater and loves Boma as well. You have to try the Zebra Domes.
If you like to be in the middle of the action then Disney's Beach Club Resort is for you. The Beach Club is a short walk away from Epcot and
Disney's Boardwalk and a quick boat ride from Disney's Hollywood Studios. The Beach Club also has the most splashtastic pool in all of Walt Disney World. Storm-A-Long Bay is a great pool for kids big and small.
If I had to pick one... I couldn't! I am going to cheat say you should try a split stay. Stay a few nights at each resort. The surprising part about split stays, even with children, is how easy it is. You simply take your luggage to Bell Services at your first resort and they will transfer it to your second while you are out enjoying the theme parks.
If you have any more questions about the Disney resorts or any other aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation please come back and see me.
Wishing you a
*MAGICAL* vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
