We are planning a vacation there, I have never been and feel overwhelmed by all the stuff there seems to be there that the kids will want to do. We have reserved dining for one meal a day, does anyone have other advice on eating healthy, less restaurant

Hi, Candice!  I think most people think of the most unhealthy things when they think of theme park dining.  While you will find your fair share of things like burgers and pizza, funnel cakes and ice cream, there are really quite a lot of healthy dining options at Walt Disney World.

Without going to a table service restaurant, you will find things like fresh whole fruit, fruit salads, yogurt, hummus and chips, and cold, delicious pineapple spears.  You can make a meal from the options, or grab a quick snack without giving into the less healthy temptations.

You can find healthy and delicious salads at most of the quick service dining locations.  No reservations are necessary for a yummy veggie burger, the famous Lighthouse Sandwich at Columbia Harbor House at the Magic Kingdom (a sandwich that includes such wholesome goodness as hummus and fresh veggies with a side of broccoli slaw), fresh made soups, or even healthy and delicious fish dinners.

Many of the snack kiosks offer a sugar free item, whether it's a popsicle or a sugar free or vegetarian ice cream option.  And if you are at a table service restaurant, look for the Mickey Check meals.  These are balanced meals that offer lean proteins, whole grains, fresh vegetables, and fruit.

Have an amazingly delicious time on your upcoming vacation! And don't feel overwhelmed - we are here for you, and we'd be happy to help you sweep away the stress and make some magic!
