We are planning our vacation from 4/20-4/27. I believe most of the spring break vacations are completed. How crowded will it be at the parks? We have a 5 year old with lots of stamina. Do most people stay at the park all day or will that be too much?

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, Rob!  The independent website allears.net features a Historic Attendance Levels Chart which categorizes late April as "moderate attendance" in regards to crowd levels. In 2012, I visited in late April and found the crowd levels to be quite manageable. As a mom of four children which includes a set of seven-year-old twin boys, I can honestly say that we have stayed in the park all day at times and also returned to our resort for a midday break. On short trips, we often stay at the park all day in order to maximize our time; whereas, on extended vacations, we usually go back to our Disney Resort for a much needed midday break or nap. We have found the nighttime activities at the parks to be much more enjoyable when we have gone back to the resort for a midday break. When we have stayed all day in the park without a nap or break, we are usually exhausted by 7:00 p.m. and need to head back to our resort earlier than we had originally planned. If you are planning to experience the nighttime activities such as Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park or Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I would highly recommend taking a nap or midday break. I would also suggest arriving at park opening in order to maximize your time in the parks when they are traditionally the least crowded. I hope this information helps. Best wishes for a magical trip, Rob!
    Happy Planning,
