Welcome to planDisney, Shana!
I am one of four children, myself, and while that is nothing compared to six kids, I know how challenging it can be traveling with a large family.
Shana, you have two options. Your first option is booking two separate rooms. You can not book more than one resort hotel room or vacation package in the same transaction so you will have to divide your party into two and book the first room. You can then book the second half of your party in the second room.
Even though they will be two transactions and two reservation numbers, you can link both rooms to your
My Disney Experience account so that you can manage everyone's plans.
When you complete your
online check-in, be sure to list the reservation number of your other room, and they will try their hardest to put you near each other. You can even call (407) 939-5277 and have the friendly Cast Members put a request on your account to have adjoining rooms. While requests can not be guaranteed, they do try hard to make it work.
With a party your size, I would recommend
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The room rates are pretty reasonable, the rooms sleep 5, and you will have access to the
Disney Skyliner. While you could go for a
Value Resort, instead, know that the rooms will be a little smaller and you will only have one sink, which could pose a problem getting so many people ready to go in the mornings.
Your second option is going to be to book a 2-bedroom villa at a
Deluxe Villa Resort. This option is going to be a little more on the pricey side but comes with a whole host of amenities that may work best for your party. My favorite thing about this is that it comes with a full kitchen and a living room, giving your party even more space to spread out. When we splurge for this type of accommodation, my family also orders groceries that we take into the parks with us, so we are not spending tons of money on bottles of water, snacks, and sports drinks.
I just know that you will have a wonderful time, Shana. Please come back here if we can help you decide where to play, stay, or dine at Walt Disney World Resort.
See you real soon!
