Greetings, Richard.
Welcome to planDisney! Close your eyes. Can you picture it? Tall spires that reach for the sky, the shimmer of EARidescent pink and blue hues for the
50th Anniversary Celebration, and the glimmer of gold touches here and there. Yes, that's
Cinderella Castle I'm describing, but you won't have to close your eyes and dream of seeing its beauty much longer since you will be at
Walt Disney World Resort in less than two weeks! Welcome home!
Since we're on the topic of
Magic Kingdom Park, have you heard that the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is back? It's true! Maleficent is once-again prowling down Main Street, U.S.A. in her fire-breathing dragon form, along with Mickey, Minnie, Rapunzel, and a host of other Disney characters. But wait, there's more! The
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade recently debuted at Magic Kingdom Park, so you can see even more of your favorite Disney pals during this new offering! You can use the interactive map feature in your
My Disney Experience mobile app to locate the times of the parade and cavalcade each day. Just use the drop-down menu in the top-middle of the page and select "Entertainment" from the options that appear.
I'm happy to report that
you will be able to reuse your existing MagicBands, as long as they are in working condition. Once a MagicBand is linked to your account, it remains active and connected to your linked theme park tickets and reservation details until you manually deactivate it or report it lost. If the MagicBands are listed as "active" in your
My Disney Experience account, you should be good to go. I reuse old MagicBands on every trip we take and have never had any issues, but if you have trouble scanning your
MagicBand at the park entrances for some reason, there will be Cast Members on hand nearby to help sort things out.
Now, one potential hiccup with reusing old MagicBands is that your
Disney PhotoPass photos may not automatically link to your My Disney Experience account as they should. This sometimes happens with older MagicBands. I suggest you make note of the dates and times you experience attractions with an accompanying photo or video. If you see the picture or video is missing from your Disney PhotoPass Gallery, you can reach out to the helpful Cast Members on the Disney PhotoPass Guest Support Team at (407) 560-4300 or through their
contact page. They can use your timestamp information to locate the missing photos or videos.
Richard, I hope this helps. If you have further questions about your vacation, please don't hesitate to put our service to the test here at
planDisney. You're always welcome to
be our Guest!See ya real soon,
Alyssa
