I am planning a trip the week of january 11th...which delux resort would you suggest for a 4 year old? I am considering the animal kingdom resort because my daughter loves animals but it seems a bit removed with less of the magical stuff. Thoughts?

    Michelle,

I have daughters that are 2, 4, and 6 and they LOVE the Animal Kingdom Lodge! In fact, it is one of our favorite Disney resorts.  It is located farther away from the other resorts because the savannahs for the animals are quite large, but I think that only adds to the resorts' appeal.  When we stay there we definitely feel transported to a different place.  The lobby is magnificent, and the rich textures and smells in Jambo House are both exotic and comfortable at the same time.

However, if you'd like to stay elsewhere I would recommend the Yacht/Beach club resorts.  They share a fantastic pool, Stormalong Bay, that is really more like a miniature water park. Our family could easily spend an entire day there without setting foot in a park.  These resorts are also a very short walk from the Boardwalk entertainment area, the International Gateway of Epcot, and a somewhat longer walk to Hollywood Studios.  The location of this resort is very convenient.

Whichever resort you select, I think you will be very happy.  Have a great vacation!
