    We are planning a trip the week of February 3, 2014. Currently have reservations at one of the value resorts but need to add another room. Extremely difficult to find additional room in value resorts. Any idea what is going on that week?

    Hi Melissa! Early February is a fantastic time to visit Walt Disney World because the attendance levels in the parks are generally fairly low during that time, which means you can experience lots of attractions with little waiting. There aren't any special events scheduled at Disney during the week of February 3, and the unofficial websites that predict attendance levels are estimating crowds to be low that week. 

    Disney is running Special Offers for reduced resort room rates and vacation packages during that week in February and those discounts may have caused an increase in the number of rooms booked at the value resorts. However, I did just search for availability at the value resorts during that week and was able to find rooms open for booking. It's possible you're having difficulty finding availability because you're searching for a particular deal at a certain resort, which can limit your results. (If you search for a Special Offer once, I've found that the Disney website continues to revert your search to that offer, rather than searching for complete availability.) To get a full picture of the rooms available, try searching for a reservation under both the "Stay, Play & Dine" and the "Save up to 35%" offers as well as searching for non-discounted rooms. If you call (407) 939-5277, the friendly castmembers can also assist you in booking an additional room during that week.
