We are planning a trip to WDW the week after Thanksgiving; is it "safe" to wait until September to buy/reserve park tickets?

Welcome to planDisney, Cindy!  Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during Thanksgiving is something my family and I love! You are going to have the best time! Thanks for sending us your question.

I think you will be safe purchasing your theme park tickets in September. If you plan on staying at a Disney hotel, now may be a better time to reserve that part of your trip.

Don't forget to check on Special Offers that may be available during the dates of your planned visit in the weeks to come! You never know when a promotion on a Disney hotel stay, theme park tickets or even a Disney Dining Plan might coincide with your vacation dates.

During your vacation at the end of November, you can look forward to seeing the resort all dressed up for the Holiday season! The themed Christmas trees at the theme parks and Disney hotels make for the best backdrop in photos! You can also seek out the different gingerbread houses at each of the hotels. They are so detailed and beautiful!

Cindy, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue to plan your vacation. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions. It's always our pleasure to help you with the details.
