We are planning a trip to WDW with our two daughters (7 &3) set to arrive on 1/1/11 through 1/6/11. What can we expect as far as the parks being crowded at this time? I was hoping to miss alot of the holiday vacationers by going after Christmas and N

Hi Melinda! Like you, I prefer to visit Disney World during times when the park attendance is low. Of course, when you have children in school, doing that can be difficult since most families visit Disney during school vacations and holidays. The week between Christmas and New Years is a time of peak attendance at Disney World. The parks are generally at maximum capacity at this time, but once the holidays have passed, people return to their jobs and schools, and the crowds drop considerably. The Disney parks will have extremely high attendance on January 1 when you begin your trip, but the crowd levels should decrease with each subsequent day of your trip. You'll encounter large crowds on the first two days of your trip, but once the weekend ends, the attendance levels should be quite low. You picked a great time to visit!

Hope you have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if we can help you plan!
