Hi Sheila!
No worries! All of the Walt Disney World resorts are great places to
stay. Here are my top choices in both the Value and Moderate categories. I hope one of these suggestions will work for you, and you'll have an incredible vacation!
For a great choice in the Value category, I highly recommend
Pop Century.
This resort will take you back through different decades and their
icons. The flower shaped main pool is a great place to spend an
afternoon or two. Plus, this value resort does not typically share any
bus transportation with other resorts - which can be quite a perk!
One of my favorite resorts in the Moderate category is
Port Orleans French Quarter
and one of the main reasons is due to its size.
French Quarter is the
smallest of the moderates, which means that everything is within a quick
walk (a huge perk at the end of a long park day!!).
Another asset of
this resort is its incredible New Orleans theme that just envelopes you
in the feel of the "old South".
Perks of this resort (besides being beautiful)
include boat transportation to Downtown Disney, use of the pool and
amenities at Riverside (included since French Quarter and Riverside are
sister resorts), and a great quick service restaurant featuring Beignets
for breakfast! YUM!!
You and your nephew can have a ton of fun exploring the grounds of both
French Quarter and Riverside and checking out the pools and slides at
both resorts. Don't forget to hop a boat to Downtown Disney for a nice
way to send a few quiet moments traveling down the lazy river!
Hope this helps!
