We are planning a trip to WDW in October 2015 and are purchasing the deluxe dining plan. We will be staying at a Disney resort for 6 nights, but only purchasing 5-day park tickets. Is the dining plan for the ticket days only or for the length of your stay?

    Hi Erica!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  We all love to help and questions about dining (and especially the Disney Dining Plan) are my personal favorite!

With the Deluxe Dining Plan, each person in your group (ages 3 years and up) will receive 3 table-service or quick-service meals and 2 snacks for each night of your stay at a Disney Resort hotel, plus 1 refillable drink mug that can be used throughout your visit.  Credits aren't linked to the number of park ticket days, so the fact that you're staying 6 nights is what's important to remember. Doing the math, that means that each person in your travel group will have 18 meals, 12 snacks and 1 Rapid Fill mug to use during your vacation.  You can use these anytime from when you check in to your Disney Resort hotel until 11:59 p.m. on your check-out date.

Here's a link to the 2015 Disney Dining Plan brochure, which has lots more great information that might be helpful.

Wishing you delicious dining and a pixie-dusted trip, Erica!  Please write back if I can help answer any other questions as you make your vacation plans.
