I am planning a trip to WDW in October. We are a family of 3 with an 11 year old son. We have stayed value resorts in the past and are looking to upgrade lodging for our next trip without breaking the bank. Any suggestions for lodging to keep all happy?

Hello Jill!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am so happy you are planning a return trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.  I completely understand your concern about not wanting to break the bank.  I myself am a frugal gal, and love to save a dollar whenever I can.   Since you have stayed a value resort and enjoyed yourself, I would suggest trying one of Disney's moderate level resorts.

Seeing you have two boys, I would suggest a stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. You will find all the conveniences  you have come to love at the value resorts, plus a whole lot more.   Amenities include, a food court, table service restaurant, and a pirate themed main pool area with waterslide.   Some rooms at this resort are even themed after Pirates of the Caribbean, which may just suit your two sons (and husband) just fine.  I have included a  Disney Parks  video link  showcasing this type of Disney Story Room. (The portion that show the pirate-themed rooms is in the second half of the video.)

If you have any other questions while you are planning your magical vacation, please let me know!

    Have a Disney Day,
