Hi Jennifer!
How exciting to be planning your first Walt Disney World vacation! This is a great question. As a mom of four children, I have found that my family needs a non-park day in the middle of our vacation to recharge. When my children were younger, we tried to do three consecutive park days and found that we were too tired to enjoy any of the attractions or shows. By noon, we were heading back to our Disney Resort hotel for a much needed midday nap.
Based on your tentative itinerary, I would suggest a 4-Day Ticket with Park Hopper Option. I do recommend allotting a full day at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot. With the Park Hopper Option, you could easily visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Park in the morning and afternoon, then hop to Magic Kingdom Park that evening to hit any attractions that you may have missed on your first day there or simply want to experience again.
For our non-park day, my family loves to sleep in, enjoy a relaxing breakfast or lunch at our resort and later visit the Downtown Disney area, a fun entertainment district, which does not require admission. Follow this link to learn more about the
Downtown Disney area.
I hope this helps in making your decision. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical first trip, Jennifer!
Happy Planning,
Jodie
