PLanning a trip to WDW March 8-15 2013. We want to stay at All Star Sports. I've seen that there might be some cheer competitions going on. Will this effect anything for our trip?

    Hi Rebecca,

When cheer and sports competitions are held at Walt Disney World, they typically have negligible impact on the parks because the kids are involved in their sporting activities most of the time.

However, the sports and cheer groups can impact guests staying at some of the resorts, particularly the All Stars. While most of the groups are polite, some do forget that there are other guests there and stay up late chatting outdoors or prating cheers in the evening. They also tend to visit the food court in large groups, making it a challenge to get food at certain times.

If you're sure there will be a cheer completion during your trip, you may want to consider staying at the Art of Animation resort, which will likely have a lower cheer population.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
