Planning our 4th trip to WDW. Love the Wilderness Lodge and convenience of location. Considering the Art of Animation Cars Suite just for the experience..but we are undecided our son is 6 and he also loves the Lodge...he can't decide either!!! Help:)

    Hi Sheri,

I've stayed at the new Art of Animation resort. I really enjoyed it, but my overwhelming reaction was that I wish it had existed when my kids were six years old. While you won't find it as convenient as the Wilderness Lodge, a Cars-loving young boy will likely be in heaven. The experience is incredibly life-like; it's really as if you've gone to live in Cars Land. The Big Blue pool is great for kids and if it's just the three of you, then you'll be thrilled with the incredible amount of space in the Cars rooms. They're HUGE.

On the downside, AoA is a bit further from the theme parks, particularly the Magic Kingdom. If you stay at AoA this may be the trip that you decide to rent a car. That could really cut down on your travel time.

Another solution would be to arrange a split stay: a few days at AoA and then a few days at WL. Then you'd have the best of both worlds.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
