Were planning our trip to WDW on June 9-16. 2 adults,(1 is over 65) and a 8 yr old. Can you tell me how the weather is in June? and if the senior has a problem walking the parks, can they get assistance with a scooter? Also need help planning our itineray.

    Hi Ivy!

Congrats on your first trip to the most magical place on earth!

First, if you have a guest in your party who needs assistance due to limited mobility, you can rent a wheelchair or ECV from  Disney by visiting Guest Services. You can either rent the wheelchair/scooter for the length of your stay or you can choose to rent it for the day at each particular park. For rental fees, for both wheelchair and ECV rentals, view the Wheelchair Rental page on the Disney site.

The weather in June in Orlando is the warmest month of the year. The average temperature is 91 for the high, and 71 for the low.

In regards to your itinerary, since you are traveling with a wide range of ages in your party, I suggest visiting the parks early in the morning, arriving 30 minutes prior to rope drop, to ensure that you are able to tour the parks before the weather spikes. Then go back to your resort during the hot afternoon hours and relax at the pool, have a leisurely lunch or take a nap. You can then go back to the parks in the evening when the weather is cooler and enjoy the fireworks and attractions. This will help ensure everyone in your party has enough energy to make it through the day without overheating.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else to plan your first trip to Walt Disney World!

    Magically,
    Stacy
